Trash cans harbour harmful bacteria and viruses, and the smells those organisms generate can reach dizzying proportions while attracting pests. We use 195-degree water and biodegradable cleaners to eliminate 99.9% of bacteria. Rinsing with plain water does not kill germs.

Service frequency depends on the climate. In colder climates your trash cans may not be serviced during the winter months, so quarterly service may happen 3 times a year and monthly service roughly 10 times a year. You are only charged for scheduled visits.

Our truck arrives after your trash has been collected and cleans the cans you signed up. Garbage bin cleaning is scheduled around your trash pick-up day and assigned to you in Week 1, 2, 3 or 4. Contracts run for one year from your first cleaning.

Cleaning usually happens on your garbage collection day, though this varies by location. There may be times when your cans are cleaned early or the day following your garbage day. We email cleaning reminders so you know when to leave the cans out.

Yes. One-time cleanings are available. A first cleaning takes longer than a maintenance cleaning and is priced accordingly.

Cleaning a can by hand takes roughly 15 gallons of water. We use less than 4 gallons. The contaminated water is captured and disposed of through contracted treatment facilities in compliance with environmental regulations.

We clean with up to 3000 psi, but paint, tar and other adhesives are extremely difficult to remove and may not come off. Several cleanings may be needed, and an older can may keep a worn appearance even once it is fully sanitised.
